Last updated: March 2026
RetireSmart users: All personal financial data entered in RetireSmart (W-2 figures, bank statements, account balances, retirement projections) is stored only on your device in browser local storage. It is never transmitted to our servers. RetireSmart is an educational tool — not financial advice. See our Terms of Service for the full disclaimer.

AshborneProjects, a DBA of Pintobo LLC ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.

1. Who we are

AshborneProjects is a trading name of Pintobo LLC, an independent software developer based in the United States. We build practical software tools for manufacturing teams and individuals, including Windows-based monitoring software and browser-based personal finance tools. You can contact us at Ashborneprojects@gmail.com.

2. What information we collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our products and services:

  • Contact enquiries — when you submit the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, and the content of your message.
  • License information — when you purchase a license, we collect your name, email address, and the machine ID of the PC the software is installed on. This is required to generate and issue your license key.
  • Payment information — payments are processed via a third-party payment provider. We do not store your card details. We receive only a confirmation of payment and the amount paid.

3. What we do not collect

Andon Camera Monitor and Andon Video Monitor run entirely on your local Windows PC. They do not:

  • Send any production data, video footage, or machine data to our servers
  • Collect usage analytics or telemetry
  • Require an internet connection to operate (other than for license activation and update checks)
  • Store any data outside of your own machine

3a. RetireSmart — personal finance software

RetireSmart is a browser-based application. All personal financial data — including W-2 figures, bank statements, account balances, spending records, and retirement projections — is stored exclusively in your browser’s local storage on your own device. This data is never transmitted to our servers.

The only data RetireSmart sends to our server is your license key and a device fingerprint during the one-time license activation check. No personal or financial data is included in this request.

4. How we use your information

We use the information we collect solely to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and provide customer support
  • Issue and manage software license keys
  • Send you your license key and payment confirmation by email
  • Notify you of important updates to your licensed software if you have opted in

We do not use your information for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond the above. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except as required to process your payment.

5. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or California, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract — processing your name, email, and machine ID is necessary to fulfil our license agreement with you.
  • Legitimate interests — responding to enquiries and providing support.
  • Legal obligation — retaining transaction records as required by applicable law.

6. How long we keep your data

We retain your name, email address, and license information for as long as your license is active or as required by law (typically 7 years for financial records). If you contact us with an enquiry and no purchase follows, we retain your message for up to 12 months and then delete it.

7. Your rights

Under applicable privacy law (including GDPR for EU/UK residents and CCPA for California residents), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Object to processing or request restriction of processing
  • Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at Ashborneprojects@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days (or 45 days where permitted by law).

8. Cookies and website tracking

Our website (ashborneprojects.com) does not use cookies, tracking scripts, or analytics tools. No data is collected simply by visiting our website.

9. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services in the course of our operations:

  • Netlify — website hosting. Netlify may log standard web server access logs (IP address, pages visited). See Netlify's privacy policy.
  • GitHub — software distribution. Download links for our software are hosted on GitHub. See GitHub's privacy policy.
  • Payment processor — payments are processed by a third-party provider. Their privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.

10. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information. Communication is handled over encrypted email. License keys are generated specific to your machine ID and cannot be used on other hardware.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our products or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
